My favourite autumn campaigns

Almost all fashion brands have announced their campaigns for the autumn/winter14 season. So, I thought that I’d like to share my favourites with you, independently from my fav brands. I only focused on the mood of the pictures and the conception.

1. Balenciaga women
When I first saw this picture , I thought it’s a men campaign with a little androgynous impression. And I was very surprised and almost shocked when I got to know that it’s Gisele Bündchen. Bright contrasts with black&white, strengthened by the broken mirrors. Perfect, affective job by the photographer, Steven Klein.

 2. The Kooples
A young French brand, established by three brothers, with an undeniable British rebellious style. The designer trio use real couples in their ads telling how long they’d been together. That’s why it becomes personal.

3. Francesco Scognamiglio
Using water in fall campaigns is not so common, not some, then in the summer ads. So, that’s the reason why I like the photographer duo, Sean and Seng’s job with model Carmen Pedaru.

4. Emporio Armani
Another amazing campaign with water and seashore. Ethereal, clean and calm. I can feel the sand under my feet. Shot by Boo George with model Benthe De Vries in Irish seaside of Dollymount Strand . Don’t miss to watch the full story on their youtube channel.

5. Vera Wang Bridal
An artistic and modern concept from Patrick Demarchelier with model Josephine Le Tutour. The most effortless and ethereal campaign of this season.

6. Carolina Herrera
Brown colours, glass, mirror and a simple elegant look heading into endless… with Dutch model Bette Franke, fashion editor/stylist (and fashion icon) Giovanna Battaglia, hair stylist Orlando Pita and photographer Greg Kadel.

7. Massimo Dutti
A beautiful and energetic campaign shot by Mario Testino with Sasha Pivarova, Amanda Wellsh, Metthew Terry, Shaun De Wet and stylist Beat Bolliger. Fall colours in a natural area.

massimo8. Reserved
Beautiful Georgia May Jagger can add her unique, powerful and unmistakable British personality to the new Reserved campaign, photographed by Mateusz Stankiewicz. Cool, rebellious and sexy.

9. Balenciaga men
The first impression of this picture is a painting, especially the green blurred background. Well-balanced colours: purple, grey and green. Newcomer model, Dzhovani Gospodinov a perfect choice as he’s a very characteristic face. And it can be thanked to among other things, photographer Josh Olins.

10. Tory Burch
Typical fall campaign with walking young women in the nature which harmonises very well with the colours of the dresses. Sara Blomqvist, Camille Rowe and Xiao Wen Ju shot by Cass Bird.

11. Chloé
A little boho chic displayed in an untouched field. Indian summer  feeling with freedom and the spirit of youth. Pertinent conception from Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin with models Andreea Diaconu and Sasha Pivarova.

12. Chanel
This campaign is among the most criticized ones because of the tomboyish attitude. Shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself who placed the brand into another level, than it was before, in the conception of Coco Coach. This campaign has also been criticized because of Cara Delevigne and her tough personality. However, I still like it: the combination of sports shoes with smart clothes, the poses, the colours and the energetic feeling. It seems familiar.
